S.T.A.R. Techniques

In the recruitment process, aptitude and psychometric tests are often used. These tests encompass a variety of assessments, including personality evaluations, verbal and numerical reasoning tests, and situational judgment tests.

To structure your interview answers effectively, you can employ the STAR technique, which breaks your response into four key components:

Situation: Provide a brief context for the situation you'll be discussing. Be concise but offer enough detail for the interviewer to understand.

Task: Outline the specific task or the goal you were working toward in that situation.

Action: Describe the actions you took to achieve the desired outcome. Explain your process and the steps you followed.

Result: If possible, provide specific details that highlight the significance of your success. Additionally, discuss any lessons learned from the experience and how it equips you for the job you're interviewing for.
