Common interview formats

There are different types of job interviews:

One-on-One Interview: In this format, you meet with a single interviewer. These interviews are often less structured, allowing for a more natural conversation. However, it can be challenging to cover all your qualifications thoroughly.

Panel Interview: Panel interviews involve facing a group of interviewers. They typically follow a highly structured format with each panel member asking the same predetermined questions. It's essential to engage with everyone on the panel.

Competency-Based Interview: Many organizations use competency frameworks to guide their hiring decisions. In this type of interview, questions revolve around specific behaviors and skills. For instance, you might be asked about experiences like working in a team to improve performance, exceeding customer expectations, providing writing examples, or explaining complex services to customers over the phone. This approach is all about providing evidence of your abilities.
