Your guide to interview success with people2people

Making a good first impression

When waiting for your interviewers, it's a good practice to stand to ensure you're ready when introductions are made, avoiding the awkward struggle of getting up from your seat.

When meeting your interviewers, offer a firm handshake and a friendly smile. Remember, the initial moments leave a lasting impression.

Maintain eye contact and open body language to convey confidence. Keep your hands relatively still and avoid crossing your arms, even if nervous.

To minimize distractions, don't have paperwork spread out in front of you. Keep a well-organized folder with a copy of your CV and relevant documents nearby but out of sight. Ensure the interview table is clear.

Lastly, switch off your phone to avoid any interruptions and maintain your full focus on the interview.
