What's up dog?
Zee was rescued while she was sedated about to be put to sleep. She had been abused and was traumatized. She wasnt given a chance. I fostered her a few days later and she never left. We understood each others pain and trauma and for the first time in her life she felt safe, and in return she made me feel safe! I struggle with autism, mental health, social anxiety and since having her she has rescued me. I didnt leave my bed for 3 months before I got her, but now I am up every morning when she wakes me at 7.40 wanting breakfast. She is always by my side which really helps due to all my family living interstate and being isolated..when my 81 year old
mother came to stay she knew not to jump and sat by her side the whole visit, knowing my mum was stressed and needed love and cuddles. She understands emotions, if there is a child crying or a dog that is hurt she wants to go and comfort them. She brings so much joy to all my support workers, who are the only people I have in my home, she waits at the window knowing they will come over in the morning and whines and barks as they come up the stairs greeting them with love, she has become as much as a support dog to all the people around me, not only myself.
