Stanley

Breed: Cavoodle

Barking from: Perth, WA

What's up dog?

So, you met Stanley during last years OZTOPDOG competition this year, he is a year older (a grand age of three years old), another 7 years wiser (in œdog years, or so he likes to think) and seems to have taken it upon himself to launch a personal campaign to dethrone Damian Gordon as the Principal of DFG Legal. Within the last 12 months, this young Cavoodle has had himself a fanfare that has grown linear to his impact on the local community he cant step one paw across the road without a friendly neighbour asking where his bow tie is (cue, Page 3 of The Mandurah Times, 11 September 2024), the local delivery drivers packing extra inventory in the form of home-made dog treats for their stop at our office and, best of all new clients attending the office for meetings and confessing to our front-of-house staff that they œexpected to be greeted by a dog (they say a little œrejection therapy never hurt anybody, even if it is involuntary). To say Stanley has been œrun off his paws in the Mandurah office is an understatement our office pup is now a permanent fixture, visiting the office daily in the name of wellbeing and mental health. Stanley has even come to recognise the sound of each staff members car pulling up in the morning and will run to greet them at the door, standing tall on his hind legs with his arms stretched upwards so as to request their embrace, and of course he never has to ask twice. With his new work hours, Stanley has also managed to expand his already existing Michelin star palate at the expense of our lunchboxes. Were talking bao buns, sweet potato, Greek yoghurt, avocado, raspberries (wouldnt know a cost-of-living crisis thats Generation Alpha for you), to name a few foods he finds delectable enough to pass as œpuppy tax for his commitment to staff morale. Stanleys permanent presence in the office over the last 12 months has meant he has become a familiar face many of our clients have come to know and love. Stanley is a pillar of comfort for people taking the leap to reach out to a lawyer for help for the first time in their lives, a source to find solace in for our anxious clients, and he possesses a magical ability to contagiously fill four walls to the brim with laughter with anything from his morning œzoomies, to his polite demands to perch himself upon a warm lap, or when his favouritism creeps in and he decides his new friend (our client) wont actually be leaving, ever (soft barks of protest as they reach for the door handle) our office culture would simply not be what it is without our Stanley.
