Olive

Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Barking from: Sydney, NSW

What's up dog?

Olive works at a law firm with her mum, where she has become an unexpected but much-loved part of the team. In a profession often associated with long hours, tight deadlines and high pressure, Olive is a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and take a moment to reset. Whether shes warming laps during a stressful call or offering unsolicited (but very appreciated) chin licks, Olive has a unique way of bringing levity to even the busiest days. Her quiet companionship is calming, and her playful energy is infectious, just seeing her trotting down the hallway with a wagging tail can change the tone of an entire office. Admittedly, she has a knack for following people into the bathroom (sorry, colleagues), but even that has become a running joke that brings us all a little closer. Olive transforms what is often stereotyped as a boring law firm into a warmer, more human workplace. She reminds us that were not just lawyers, were people, and its okay to take five minutes for a cuddle on the floor. Olive may be small, but the joy she brings to our office is immeasurable. What makes Olive different from every other office dog? Shes everyones baby. No loyalty, no favourites. She will follow whoever looks interesting, wherever theyre going (stressful for her mum, flattering for everyone else). She has a compulsive need to be involved in everything. Filing? Shes there. Team meeting? Shes under the table. Bathroom break? Already waiting. Olive is the unofficial head of HR, morale officer, and office gossip, with her nose in everyones business (literally). She doesnt need a job title. Olives just happy to be here, and were better for it.
