What's up dog?
Bringing Maple to work truly brightens everyones day. Her presence lifts the mood of staff, patients, and even the postman shes become a much-loved part of the clinic.
Our patients are predominantly men affected by prostate cancer, and Maple offers a welcome distraction in what can often be a stressful and emotional environment. Whether shes trotting beside me through the clinic or lounging in her usual spot, her energy is felt by everyone. Patients often peek around the corner just to catch a glimpse of her cheerful little face, and many make a beeline to give her a quick pat before their appointments. Its amazing to see how something as simple as a wagging tail and a warm presence can create such comfort and connection. Maple isnt just a pet at work shes part of the team, and a gentle reminder that healing isnt just about medicine. Sometimes, its also about joy, companionship, and the small moments that make people smile. One thing that makes Maple different from other office dogs is how she has fully settled into the rhythm of the clinic. She knows exactly when to curl up in her bed, when its time to follow me from room to room, and somehow senses when the waiting room needs a little lift. Shes become part of the routine not just a guest in the space, but a quiet fixture of comfort and familiarity that everyone has come to expect and appreciate.
