What's up dog?

Jeffrey was my inspiration to become a dog behaviourist. He is dog reactive and I wanted to be able to understand how I could best support and communicate with him. I went on to become a qualified dog behaviourist who specalises in reactivity and anxiety based behaviours. Jeffrey has had an impact on every reactive dog guardian I connect with. I have been in their shoes and I understand what they are going through. Jeff inspires other reactive dog guardians that there is hope in the training journey and that they are not alone. Over the past year, Jeffrey has continued to be both my grounding force and my greatest teacher. As a reactive dog, his world can be overwhelming at times, but his courage and resilience are what inspire not just me, but so many of the guardians I support through my work as a dog behaviourist. Through Jeffrey, Ive been able to guide other families to better understand their own dogs big feelings, and to move away from outdated training methods toward relationship-based approaches that honour trust, safety, and choice. He is the face of the work I do and the heart behind every success story weve helped create. Jeffrey was left in my care after the passing of our best friend Dan, over ten years ago now. Dans love for Jeffrey and the bond they shared continues to guide me not just as Jeffreys guardian, but in the way I show up for others. I speak about them both often when educating about reactive dogs, grief, and the importance of compassionate guardianship.
