What's up dog?
Buddy volunteers with 3 charities offering Animal Assisted Activities and is a blood donor. In any week he can be at the library listening to children read providing stress relief to medical staff in ED providing comfort to aged care residents improving well being of university students or corporate staff and 3 times a year he donates blood to save the lives of dogs in emergency care. He is very social and, if encouraged, he will carry on a conversation.Too many to list.Medical staff have reported that 15 minutes with Buddy allows them to go back on shift more ready to face challenges presenting in the ED. Children gain confidence as readers through reading to a supportive and non-judgemental audience. For aged care residents he often he invokes memories of their own pets left behind.
