What's up dog?
Harry is now 11 years old, he was a rescue and is a mixed breed of standard poodle cross pug. Harry has been the ultimate mate, he travels well, settles well anywhere and is dog and human friendly. Harry was bitten by tiger snake at age 2 and struggled through a few months of side effects from the anti-venom. over the next few years, we noticed his eye site going slowly but still didn't realise he was blind until he walked on a snake in the garden one afternoon. I recently has a medical accident that killed my heart and caused clots in my brain, heart, lungs, legs etc, I died numerous times and had many strokes and am left with nerve muscle damage, harry however stepped up to my needs by always being by my side. He comes everywhere with me for company as I'm quite isolated on my farm. He lets me know now if there's a snake around or large Roo so I'm safe. I suffer from confusion now and I just say, take mummy home and he takes me home. He tells me when I have to check the stove etc and plays tug of war which has strengthened my hands. Without my harry and Tikka dog, I would have no reason to get up each day. I have gone from. Not being able to feed myself to walking over 6000 steps daily because of both dogs. Not being able to work has meant he is my reason to do things and stay strong as he needs me like I need him.
