What's up dog?
Before Obi came into my life, working from home meant being alone in the house. During breaks and lunchtimes, I would remain at my desk, eating alone and mindlessly surfing the internet. It was not a pleasant experience. However, everything changed eight months ago when we adopted Obi. He has become an indispensable part of our lives and a fantastic companion supporting my mental health and wellbeing during my work-from-home days.
Despite his boundless energy, Obi behaves exceptionally well during my working hours. He first checks on me at my desk, then go off to play by himself for a while. Eventually, he settles quietly beneath my chair, ensuring a constant connection by always resting his pear-shaped head or cutie paws on my feet. This simple and heartfelt gesture strengthens our bond, even when we're engaged in different activities. On days when I feel particularly down or stressed, Obi with his remarkable ability to sense my emotions offer his unconditional love and support. Just a single glance at him and a quick cuddle with him fill me with more positive energy, instantly lifting my mood and spirits.
Obi has transformed my breaks and lunch times into meaningful moments. He encourages me to engage with playful exercises and enjoy my meals at the dining table with him by my side. With Obi's presence, working from home has become less stressful and more enjoyable.
