Wellbeing & Injury Management Lead
South-East Melbourne | Hybrid | Full-time| 6-month fixed-term contract | $160k package
Are you passionate about creating mentally healthy workplaces and driving positive cultural change? A leading government agency is seeking a Wellbeing & Injury Management Lead to shape and deliver their wellbeing and injury management strategy.
In this senior role, you'll lead a proactive, integrated approach to employee wellbeing, psychosocial safety, and return-to-work programs. You’ll partner with leaders to develop policy, manage complex injury cases, and drive innovative wellbeing initiatives that reflect best practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Champion a zero-harm culture across a diverse workforce
- Manage complex RTW and personal injury claims
- Lead development and implementation of psychosocial safety strategy
- Partner with leaders to embed wellbeing initiatives and frameworks
- Provide training and build internal capability in psychosocial safety
- Monitor trends, evaluate performance data, and drive continuous improvement
- Liaise with insurers, legal providers and medical professionals on complex matters
- Certified Return to Work Coordinator (VWA approved)
- Certified Personal Injury Practitioner or a related discipline, or a willingness to obtain.
- Experience in injury management, workers’ compensation and RTW programs
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and psychosocial safety practices
- Knowledge of mental health, anatomy, or personal injury best practice
