Trades Tutor – Plumbing, Gasfitting & Drainlaying

Ko wai mātou | The Organisation
We are recruiting for a private training provider delivering high-quality, hands-on training for the plumbing, gasfitting, and drainlaying (PGD) industry. With a focus on industry-relevant learning and real-world skills, we aim to support apprentices in building strong, sustainable careers.

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We’re currently looking for an experienced tradesperson to step into a practical tutor role. Whether you’re still on the tools and looking for a new challenge, or you’ve previously worked in the industry and want to re-engage in a meaningful way, this could be the perfect next step.

This is an entry-level tutor role offering full support to gain adult education qualifications and assessment unit standards. You’ll be responsible for delivering practical training to students, while developing your own career in the education space.
Imagine stepping off the tools and into a role where your deep practical knowledge directly shapes the next generation of plumbers, gasfitters, and drainlayers. This is your chance to move into education with a reputable and established training provider on the Kapiti Coast.

Mōu | About you

We are seeking a trade-qualified and registered professional in Plumbing, Gasfitting, and Drainlaying, holding a current PGD license. You will bring a wealth of practical knowledge from across the PGD industry and be comfortable delivering training in line with provided lesson plans and assessing student progress.
Perhaps you're a qualified tradesperson looking for a new direction, a chance to share your skills and passion. If the demands of being a sole trader are less appealing now, or you're seeking more than just reactive work, this could be the ideal career move. Your hands-on experience is highly valued.
