The Role
The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its Disputes team in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading partners and senior lawyers on a broad mix of matters, including:

  • Complex commercial and contractual disputes
  • Corporate and shareholder disputes
  • Allegations of misleading or deceptive conduct
  • Financial regulatory matters
  • Multi-party litigation and class actions
  • Disputes involving property, construction, and intellectual property
You will be responsible for managing files autonomously, supervising junior lawyers, contributing to business development initiatives, and engaging directly with clients to provide strategic and commercially focused advice. Matters will often involve cross-jurisdictional and high-value issues, requiring strong analytical and advocacy skills.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least 6+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with a minimum of 2+ years already operating at Senior Associate level
  • Proven experience running complex matters with minimal supervision
  • Strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor, and delegate effectively to junior team members
  • Commercial awareness and client relationship management skills
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
Candidates who have only recently been promoted to Senior Associate will not be considered.
