We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to join a fantastic team and support the growth of both B2C and B2B refurbishment projects. This role combines business development, client engagement, and project estimation, ideal for someone who is confident with people, understands project fundamentals, and is eager to learn and refine their estimating skills with training and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across consumer and commercial sectors.
- Build relationships with potential clients, architects, developers, and industry contacts to generate new leads.
- Utilise your existing network and develop new connections to grow the pipeline of opportunities.
- Represent the company professionally, showcasing services and capabilities to prospective clients.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Work closely with the Senior Estimator for training, development, and oversight as you learn the company’s estimating processes.
- Apply basic estimating principles to assess labour, materials, timeframes, and any specialist requirements.
- Ensure all estimates are clear, detailed, and aligned with client needs and project scope.
- Pass fully costed and approved opportunities to the Project Manager for further development and delivery.
- Provide clear documentation and rationale to ensure a smooth transition from sales/estimating to project execution.
- Maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager to support project planning and feasibility.
- Proactively search for upcoming projects and potential partners using drawings, planning applications, industry platforms, and referrals.
- Track and manage all leads, proposals, and estimates in the CRM or internal system.
- Follow up with prospective clients to move opportunities through the pipeline.
- Experience in sales, estimating, or a hybrid commercial role, ideally within refurbishment, construction, interiors, or a related field.
- Ability to read drawings and understand the fundamentals of refurbishment projects (full training will be provided to build estimating capability).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident engaging with clients at all levels.
- Good sales technique with a natural ability to build rapport and trust.
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- A strong address book or existing network within the industry is highly advantageous.
- Full onboarding and hands-on training provided by the Founder and the wider team.

- Support to grow into a more senior estimating or sales role as the business expands.
