THE ROLE:
As a paralegal your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting legal research to support attorneys, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Preparing and drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and court forms.
- Organizing and managing case files, ensuring all necessary documents are properly filed and maintained for ongoing legal proceedings.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and attending hearings or trials.
- Tracking billable hours and preparing invoices in accordance with the firm's billing policies.
- Communicating with clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist in scheduling meetings or hearings.
ABOUT YOU:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- MUST be a Paralegal within in debt recovery or commercial area of law
- Excellent Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Familiarity with the court process and procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- A can-do approach to work
NOTE: This position is open to studiers but must have full time availability and minimum 2 years left of their degree left.
