Key responsibilities

• Preparing insightful monthly and quarterly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, to provide a clear understanding of business performance.
• Contributing to the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with budget holders to develop robust and achievable financial plans.
• Conducting thorough analysis of financial data to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement and cost optimisation.
• Developing and maintaining cost accounting systems and processes to accurately track and control operational expenses.
• Providing financial support and analysis to departmental managers, enabling informed decision-making and the achievement of strategic objectives.
• Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Proven experience in a Management Accountant role or similar capacity.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. Familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
• Qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
