The Opportunity
This position sits within a busy and collaborative litigation team specialising in professional indemnity insurance. You will play a key role in supporting a group of lawyers with day-to-day administrative and file management tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide proactive administrative support, including diary and file management, client liaison, scheduling meetings and managing correspondence
• Prepare and finalise legal documentation, including letters, court documents, and invoices
• Handle electronic court filings across jurisdictions
• Manage the opening and closing of matters, as well as drafting costs agreements
• Coordinate monthly billing and assist with reporting
• Liaise with clients, medical providers, barristers and external stakeholders
• Assist with business development initiatives and firm events
• Collate briefs to Counsel, prepare court bundles and manage large-volume printing and archiving
About You
• Experience working as a Legal Assistant within a litigation or insurance team
• Confident handling billing processes and deadlines
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation and time management
• Strong communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude
• A team player who takes initiative and prides themselves on accuracy and service
