Law Clerk

  • Located conveniently in the CBD, close to transport
  • Up to $115,000 package, depending on experience
THE ROLE
You’ll play a key role in supporting the property team by delivering a broad range of legal services, aligned to your level of experience. This is a varied position that will see you working across:
  • Sales and acquisitions of both commercial and residential properties
  • Property development matters including off-the-plan, high-rise developments, and Greenfields projects
  • Conveyancing and interstate transactions (including NSW and QLD)
  • Leasing and stamp duty
  • Basic finance related tasks
  • General commercial property matters
You’ll also be responsible for managing files in line with internal procedures, handling PEXA transactions, tracking and billing time on chargeable matters, and identifying potential legal risks. General administrative tasks, including delegating work to personal assistants, will also form part of your remit.

This is a hands-on role that encourages knowledge sharing, participation in team training and meetings, and staying up to date with legal developments in the property space.

ABOUT YOU
To thrive in this role, you’ll have prior experience in a similar legal environment and be confident managing files end-to-end. You’re someone who knows when to escalate matters and can build strong relationships with both clients and stakeholders. Your skills and attributes will include:
  • Solid knowledge of property law relevant to your level
  • Strong drafting and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving processes
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with PEXA and document/practice management systems such as iManage, FileSite, or Affinity
