About the Role:

 
We’re partnering with a leading business in the creative industries to find an experienced and proactive Part-Time Human Resources Manager for their Sydney team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the leadership group to shape and strengthen the people function, building frameworks that support engagement, compliance, and growth. It’s a hands-on and strategic position, overseeing all aspects of the employee experience including recruitment, onboarding, performance, culture, and employee relations. The role offers flexibility, with part-time hours spread across the week to suit your schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Lead engagement, wellbeing, and DE&I initiatives.
  • Support the evolution of company values, recognition programs, and team initiatives.
  • Ensure all policies, contracts, and processes comply with Australian employment law and Fair Work standards.
  • Maintain HR documentation, systems, and employee records.
  • Provide trusted HR advice and guidance to leaders and team members.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and talent onboarding.
  • Manage contracts, system setup, and probation check-ins.
  • Support workforce planning and succession initiatives.
  • Oversee performance reviews and development frameworks.
  • Coach managers on feedback, leadership, and people management.
  • Manage offboarding processes and exit interviews with care and professionalism.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years in a generalist HR role, ideally within a creative, digital, or start-up environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practice.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A people champion who genuinely cares about culture and employee experience.
