About the Role
As the business scales, it is introducing a dedicated Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager
to support smarter, data-led decisions across all financial layers — from project profitability to cost efficiency, pricing strategies, and long-term planning. This role will report directly to the Finance Lead
and sit within the Finance Operations Team, while also collaborating with senior stakeholders and technical teams across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting
Build advanced financial models to support forecasting across complex project structures and revenue models. - Budgeting & Variance Analysis
Drive budgeting processes, rolling forecasts, and performance reviews. Deliver actionable insights through variance analysis. - Project Financial Analysis
Track and assess the financial performance of individual projects and ongoing maintenance operations. Identify trends and recommend actions to improve margins. - Reporting & Insight Delivery
Prepare and present high-quality financial reports to support strategic decisions, investment planning, and commercial performance reviews. - Strategic Finance Support
Provide analysis and insight to support pricing strategies, contract evaluations, and capital planning. Partner with project managers and commercial leads on financial viability. - Process & Systems Optimisation
Enhance reporting tools and forecasting processes. Identify opportunities to streamline finance operations and support ongoing digitisation initiatives.
- Proven FP&A experience in a project-based, infrastructure, or contract-driven environment
- Strong capabilities in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modelling
- Commercial mindset with a deep understanding of different contract pricing structures
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (Power BI or similar tools a plus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to influence and support at all levels
