About the role
Joining a small, collaborative finance team and reporting to the Senior Accountant and supporting the Financial Controller, this role offers genuine variety and visibility across the business. You’ll handle the day-to-day finance operations while also playing a key role in supporting large-scale projects that drive business growth and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- End of month reconciliations including bank recs, balance sheet, P&L and billings review
- Assisting with monthly and annual financial and management reporting
- Maintaining and overseeing the fixed asset register
- Supporting budget preparation and variance analysis
- Preparing indirect taxes and statutory requirements including FBT, BAS, GST and Payroll Tax
- Delivering accurate and insightful project reporting
About you
Ideally CA/CPA (or studying towards), you are an IT savvy accountant ready to take the next step in your career within a business that will invest in your development. You’re proactive, curious, and love getting involved beyond the numbers — the kind of person who enjoys walking across the floor to chat with operations to break down the financials and support their success.
You’ll bring:
- ERP system experience, with Business Central and Power BI skills highly regarded (especially if you’ve built reports)
- Strong understanding of accounting standards
- Exposure to project accounting (a plus)
- An analytical, hands-on approach with the confidence to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders

Located on Brisbane’s southside, you’ll enjoy onsite parking. Please note, this role is 100% office based but offers flexibility with start/finish times (perfect if you need to do the school drop-off or pick-up).
