About Us

This business has partnered with design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services in Sydney's CBD and surrounding suburbs. This area includes a diverse range of assets, from historical treatment plants to extensive pipeline networks and reservoirs.

The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Finance Manager to join our client on a temp to perm basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end finance function, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial accounting and reporting across the business. You will lead a team of four experienced team members and report directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial accounting, including month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Run an audit process
• Joint Venture governance and compliance
• Cash flow & treasury
• Lead and mentor a team of four direct reports, ensuring high performance and continuous development
• Manage the Accounts Payable and Timesheet/Payroll

About You:

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller
• Strong background in financial accounting and reporting
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team
• Experience within a joint venture business
• CPA or CA qualification is essential
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
