Our client is a well-established organisation with multiple locations and is offering a rare opportunity for an experienced Junior Accountant looking for the next step to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the responsibilities of the role will include:
- Responsible for financial reporting for the Group’s businesses to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Managing the effectiveness of controls for cash and inventory reporting, including stock counts.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Group Fixed Asset register
- Responsible for the accuracy and validity of all general Ledger journals and validation of monthly reporting, to include balance sheet reconciliations
- Exposure to external reporting, including BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax.
- Support budgeting and forecasting process
- Assist with consolidations
- Ad hoc projects and work with the business to identify and implement improvements to efficiencies and controls
About You:
The successful candidate will be a skilled, "hands-on" Accountant who is looking for longevity in your next position and enjoys building strong relationships with both your internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong initiative, high attention to detail and willing to assist in all aspects of finance. You will also demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated experience in similar role with the position accountabilities
- Proficient with systems and strong Excel skills. Navision is highly advantageous
- A team player with a professional and positive approach
- A strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
