Assistance dog Nina is a vibrant, loving and loyal labrador. Nina pre alerts her hooman who suffers from daily epileptic seizures prior to a seizure by smelling the chemical change that occurs in the body. Once she detects this change she bops or nudges her hooman to alert her to lay down in a safe place, preventing serious injuries and even death. Her dedication and talent is clear, often waking to alert to seizures in the middle of the night (150+ this year so far).

There is no other medical device or technology that can pre alert to epileptic seizures, making what Nina does extremely impressive and vital! Nina provides independence and safety to her hooman, as well as peace of mind to those around her who can rest assured knowing her hooman is safe.

Kirra is our travelling ‘salty dog’ who loves life on the road. She is our mobile conversation starter, cuddle buddy and ‘pet befriended’. We have visited friends made in far and wide locations as a result of someone asking if they could pay her. This has enriched our travels around our beautiful country to have been able to see special ‘local’ places we would never have seen. 

Kirra is so in tune with us that she was able to know when my partner was ill and she refused to leave his side until I returned. Travelling with a pet is not everyone’s ’cup of tea’ but my beautiful piece of fluff is our companion and protector(yes she has alerted us to a snake) we wouldn’t have it any other way! We are off to a live gig soon and of course, Kirra will be there.

Roxie naturally draws people in with her warmth and friendly demeanor. She has a calming presence that’s especially powerful with children and the elderly. Roxie somehow knows when to be playful and when to be tender, has the sweetest heart & loves to give kisses, high fives everyone, when told. 

Roxie senses emotions with uncanny precision, often curling up beside someone who’s had a tough day. Roxie’s impact has extended to our local area. On walks, she greets everyone with the same enthusiasm, sparking conversations. Its pretty cool, perhaps its her sparkly eyes. Every interaction, Roxie leaves people feeling seen, valued, and lighter than before. Puts a smile on people's dile.
