A senior policy analyst is needed for a 6-month contract in a well-regarded Ministry. This is a unique opportunity to use your policy expertise to help shape a new function within the organisation. You will be instrumental in designing a new framework for investment settings, performance standards, and entity monitoring on a scale not previously seen within this Ministry. This is not a business-as-usual policy role; it’s an opportunity to use your experience to help a Ministry set a new direction for the future.

You're an experienced and independent Senior Policy Analyst with a strong track record of success. You're known for your ability to design and implement policy, and you have a deep understanding of government processes. You are comfortable working autonomously and can quickly get up to speed in a new environment. Your writing is clear, concise, and persuasive. You thrive on the challenge of helping an organisation navigate a new and complex area of work.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Policy Analyst.
- A strong understanding of legislative processes and the Machinery of Government.
- Experience in a similar policy setting, such as at a transport or infrastructure-focused agency, would be highly beneficial.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- The ability to use your initiative and work independently.
