Construction and Property Development business based in Virginia require the assistance of an experienced Payroll Officer to join on a temp basis with the view to perm. You will enjoy a friendly and down to earth team environment and will have the opportunity to make the role your own in this stand-alone position. You will also manage on-boarding of employees and assume contracts and HR administrative responsibilities.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the responsibilities of the role will include,
- End to end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis (130 employees)
- Processing casual and salaried employees
- Checking and reconciling time-sheets
- Processing new starters and terminations
- Calculations of leave and entitlements, superannuation and work cover
- Dealing with payroll queries
- On-boarding new employees and issuing contracts
- HR administration responsibilities
The successful applicant will have/be,
- Experienced in end to end payroll processing
- Ability to interpret Awards
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation
- A strong attention to detail and well developed communication skills
- Strong payroll systems and /or the ability to pick up new systems
- Great team environment
- Down to earth team
- Combination role, payroll and HR admin
- $90K + super, Virginia
