About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance, this position offers exposure to a wide variety of commercial legal matters. You will support the business in managing day-to-day legal and compliance requirements across multiple areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice across a broad range of areas, including general corporate and commercial law, employment law, insolvency and securities law, competition and consumer law, property matters, intellectual property, privacy, and general litigation
- Review marketing materials and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Liaise with external legal consultants and law firms as required
- Support the ongoing operation of the company’s compliance programme, including the development of compliance resources and training materials, and delivering training sessions to staff
- Conduct legal research as needed to support the team
- Prior experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal team
- Strong understanding of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010
- Solid background in general commercial law
