The Role
Due to a significant pipeline of complex matters, the firm is actively seeking Lawyers with 1–4 years of post-admission experience to join its Sydney office. Working closely with partners and senior lawyers, Associates will play a key role in advising clients on major commercial litigation, class actions, insolvency disputes, and regulatory investigations. Day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing pleadings and court documents, conducting legal research and analysis, attending court appearances and mediations, and developing strong client relationships. Matters are typically run in the Supreme and Federal Courts, and often involve significant financial and reputational stakes.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 1-4 years of post-admission experience in commercial litigation and/or dispute resolution;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong analytical and legal research abilities;
- A proactive and commercial mindset with a genuine interest in complex disputes;
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- A collaborative and professional attitude, with confidence to work directly with clients and counsel.
