Warehouse & Trade Sales Representative
Our client is a long-established Australian manufacturer and supplier, servicing customers across the concrete, precast and construction industries.
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse & Trade Sales Representative to join their NSW operation. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, spending a couple of days each week in the warehouse and factory environment, and a couple of days on the road developing relationships, supporting customers and identifying new business opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable operating a forklift, managing stock and dispatch, as they are meeting customers, conducting site visits and growing sales.
Or is perfect for someone who is eager to come off the tools and learn a new skillset in technical sales and relationship development. This business is all about upskilling, mentorship, and development, so you’ll be provided with all the support you’ll need to step into this new role.
The Role
- Warehouse & Operations
- Receive, store and handle raw materials safely and efficiently
- Batch, blend and prepare products for customer delivery
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate stock records
- Coordinate deliveries and dispatch schedules
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
- Complete operational reporting and record keeping
- Assist with product deliveries and customer support when required
- Trade Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the concrete, precast and construction sectors
- Conduct site visits, product demonstrations and toolbox talks
- Support customers with product application advice and troubleshooting
- Manage customer enquiries and provide exceptional service
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver customer solutions
- Represent the business at industry meetings and events
- Contribute to the ongoing growth of the NSW business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, industrial products, construction materials or a related environment
- A current forklift licence and driver's licence
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence engaging with customers
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Good computer literacy and attention to detail
- A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to get involved wherever needed
- Experience within the concrete, construction materials, chemical manufacturing or broader industrial sectors will be highly regarded but is not essential.
