About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Personal Injury Lawyer to join a well-established law firm in Perth. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of plaintiff personal injury matters, supporting clients through the claims and litigation process.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a range of plaintiff personal injury matters, including workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents and public liability claims
- Providing legal advice to clients on their rights, entitlements and potential compensation claims
- Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, statements and other court documents
- Reviewing and analysing medical evidence, expert reports and liability assessments
- Conducting legal research and developing strategies to progress claims
- Liaising with clients, insurers, medical professionals, counsel and other relevant stakeholders
- Attending mediations, settlement conferences and court proceedings
- Negotiating settlements and assisting clients throughout the claims process
- Managing files efficiently while maintaining strong client relationships
About you
- Admitted to practise in Western Australia with a current practising certificate
- Experience in personal injury law, ideally within a plaintiff practice
- Exposure to workers' compensation, motor vehicle accident or public liability claims
- Strong legal drafting, research and analytical skills
- Ability to manage your own files and meet competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
- A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with clients
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to continue learning and developing
