We’re partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Officer for an immediate-start, 3 month temporary assignment. This role is office-based in Eight Mile Plains and includes free onsite parking, making it an easy commute.
This position will support the broader finance function by ensuring day to day transactional activities are processed efficiently and accurately, particularly around month-end timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Preparing and posting journals as required
- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices within SAP and submitting for approval
- Managing credit card transactions and employee expense claims in line with month-end deadlines
- Administering the expense management system and responding to finance-related queries
- Monitoring the shared finance inbox and assisting with ad-hoc requests
- Updating documented procedures and quick reference guides
- Contributing to process improvements and system enhancements where needed
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation
About You
- Proven experience in accounts payable and bank reconciliation roles
- Exposure to SAP or a similar ERP system
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Sound understanding of GST
- Experience working with job costing systems (highly regarded)
- Confident using Excel
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
