The Firm Join a well-regarded national law firm in their Disputes & Investigations team, based in Perth. The team is in an exciting phase of growth as it re-establishes its Perth office.
The Role In this role, you will work across a diverse range of contentious matters, taking on meaningful responsibility while being supported by experienced practitioners. Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing and advising on secured recovery and enforcement matters from inception through to resolution
Engaging in negotiations with clients, counterparties, and other stakeholders to achieve commercial outcomes
Drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, court filings, correspondence, and settlement agreements
Liaising with Counsel, including preparing briefs, providing instructions, and assisting in mediation and dispute resolution processes
Representing clients in court and contributing to the preparation and delivery of legal submissions
Handling your own file load with appropriate supervision, while maintaining strong, client-focused relationships
The Candidate To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A minimum of 5 years’ PAE in litigation and dispute resolution
Solid experience across general commercial disputes, with exposure to recovery or enforcement matters viewed favourably
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and colleagues
A proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
