We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established boutique accounting and advisory firm located in the St George region.

Working closely with the Director, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients across accounting, compliance, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of business clients across a range of industries
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Preparation of financial statements and supporting workpapers
- Preparation and lodgements of BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and superannuation obligations
- Assist with tax compliance for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
- End-to-end bookkeeping including payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management
- Prepare management reports and assist clients with budgeting and financial analysis
- Support process improvements and workflow management
- Mentor and support junior team members where required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a public practice or accounting firm environment
- Strong technical accounting and bookkeeping capability
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience using Xero and advanced Excel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying, highly regarded
