This is a high-impact commercial role supporting a portfolio of large-scale mining operations for a leading mining services business. Working closely with senior leadership and project teams, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance, improving contract outcomes and influencing operational decision-making.
The Role
- You will partner with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, forecasting and commercial insight across multiple projects. The role combines financial analysis, contract management and stakeholder engagement, with strong exposure to operational teams. Supporting monthly reporting, forecasting and budget processes
- Building and maintaining commercial models, including claims and cost analysis
- Providing commercial input into tenders, variations and contract negotiations
- Partnering with site teams to improve financial outcomes and operational performance
- Leading discussions with clients around claims, variations and outstanding commercial matters
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across projects
- Supporting investment decisions through financial modelling and data analysis
About You
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial information into practical insights for operational teams.
- Strong commercial acumen within project-based environments (mining or resources)
- Ability to interpret contracts and manage commercial risk
- Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong MS Excel skills, with exposure to SAP and Power BI desirable
