Our client is a well-established and growing business within the freight and logistics sector, seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team in Maroochydore.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who is available to commence immediately and is looking for either a temporary assignment or a genuine pathway to permanency.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll while providing exceptional support to employees and stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end weekly and/or fortnightly payroll processing
- Maintenance of employee records, including new starters, terminations and employee changes
- Processing leave, superannuation and payroll adjustments
- Calculation of overtime, allowances and other payroll-related payments
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards and company policies
- Responding to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
- Assisting with month-end payroll activities and payroll-related administration.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Previous experience using Micropay is highly desirable (but not essential)
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines
- Available to commence immediately or at short notice.
