About the role
The Payroll Officer position is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to manage various aspects of payroll and accounting. You will be integral to processing weekly contractor payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position allows for hybrid working arrangements, promoting a flexible culture that values work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
  • Process weekly contractor payroll efficiently
  • Manage invoicing and bank reconciliations
  • Provide general accounting support
  • Handle timesheets and payroll queries
  • Support PAYG, superannuation, and compliance
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in payroll and accounting, with a minimum of 2 years
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of payroll compliance and multiple awards
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with healthcare awards is preferred, or a willingness to learn
