About the role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. This position also provides additional finance support, including reporting and reconciliations.
Key responsibilities
  • Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time, including pay runs, adjustments, terminations, and leave processing
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from staff in a clear and timely manner
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and manage corrections and query resolution
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of payroll data
  • Prepare payroll reports and balance sheet reconciliations as required
  • Assist with month-end processing and provide support to other finance roles as needed.
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and compliance with relevant legislation
  • Strong capability in using payroll systems and financial software
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills to address staff inquiries effectively
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
