Payroll Officer

About the Company
People2people are proud to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation with a strong track record in their market. With a growing national presence and a diverse service offering, this business continues to be one to watch.

Due to continued growth and an internal promotion, they’re now looking for a proactive and motivated Payroll Officer who’s keen to build on their experience in a supportive team environment. This role is ideal for someone earlier in their payroll career who enjoys getting into the detail of payroll administration, while also developing broader end-to-end payroll skills in a company that invests in your long-term growth.

About the Role
You’ll be part of a collaborative payroll team, working across both weekly and monthly pay cycles for 1,500+ employees nationally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing for both internal and outsourced functions
  • Collating and reviewing timesheets from the time and attendance system
  • Supporting new starter onboarding and ensuring payroll data accuracy
  • Assisting with statutory requirements – Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Child Support, and WorkCover
  • Interpreting and applying Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements correctly
  • Handling payroll queries and supporting branches with system training
  • Contributing to payroll reporting and ad hoc projects as needed

About You
We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm, accuracy, and a willingness to learn. You will ideally have:
  • Previous payroll experience in a busy or high-volume environment
  • A strong customer service focus and team-oriented mindset
  • Good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers
  • Solid Excel skills and experience with large payroll or time and attendance systems
  • An interest in developing your skills with award interpretation and reporting
  • If you’ve been working in payroll support or administration and are ready to take the next step into a more end-to-end role, this is a fantastic opportunity.
What’s on Offer
  • Inner city location with easy access to public transport
  • Hybrid work options – enjoy flexibility once you’ve settled in
  • Ongoing training and professional development pathways
  • Be part of a fast-growing, community-minded organisation
  • Competitive salary package based on experience

If you’re ready to grow your payroll career with a company that values development and teamwork, APPLY NOW! For a confidential discussion, contact Rachael Bates or Hayley Coghill on 07 3118 0125.
