About the role
This role offers an experienced Payroll Officer the chance to take full ownership of payroll processes within a professional services environment. As a Payroll Lead, you will work 3 to 4 days a week, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. This position requires a high level of autonomy and expertise in managing payroll for multiple entities across Victoria, New South Wales, and Tasmania.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities
- Ensure compliance with relevant awards and legislation
- Reconcile payroll data against financial records
- Collaborate with the finance team to support reporting requirements
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in payroll management with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role
- Strong capability in payroll systems, particularly with DefinitiV or similar software
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation
- High proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
