Legal Assistant | Intellectual Property & Information Technology
Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking for a part time opportunity within a collaborative and modern legal environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Intellectual Property and Information Technology team, supporting lawyers on a diverse mix of innovative and commercially focused matters. Working three days per week from Wednesday to Friday, you will enjoy meaningful work, flexibility and a genuinely supportive team culture in the heart of Sydney CBD.
This role would suit a career Legal Assistant with at least two years of experience who is seeking a long term opportunity within a professional and people focused environment.
Responsibilities
  • Providing day to day administrative and secretarial support to fee earners within the IP and IT practice
  • File and matter management, including opening and closing files
  • Preparing and formatting correspondence, legal documents and reports
  • Diary management and coordinating meetings
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner
  • Managing billing processes, timesheets and expense administration
  • Assisting with document management and electronic filing systems
  • General administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the practice group

  • Salary package of up to $110,000 plus superannuation on a pro rata basis, depending on experience

About You
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary within a law firm
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident user of legal practice management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • This position is suited to experienced legal support professionals and is not suitable for students
