You know what it takes to keep a busy legal team running smoothly. You are across the deadlines, know what needs to happen before you are asked, and become the person your Partners and lawyers rely on to keep everything moving.
If that sounds like you, this could be a great next move.
Joining one of Australia's largest legal partnerships, you will work closely with a Practice Group Head, providing trusted LA support while helping coordinate the wider team and ensuring the practice runs smoothly day to day.
This is an opportunity to take the legal support experience you have already built and use it in a role where you can have genuine ownership, build strong relationships with senior lawyers and become an integral part of the team.
The role
Bringing with you your experience supporting Partners and lawyers, you will take ownership of the day-to-day organisation of a busy practice group.
You will be the person keeping things on track – managing diaries and priorities, anticipating what the team needs and making sure the administrative side of the practice runs seamlessly.
- Managing diaries, meetings and competing priorities
- Opening, maintaining and closing files
- Preparing and formatting correspondence and legal documents
- Coordinating court filing and online court systems
- Managing monthly billing and reporting
- Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders
- Assisting with events and team coordination
- Providing broader support across the practice group when needed
Your understanding of how a busy legal practice operates will allow you to quickly become a trusted point of contact for both the Practice Group Head and the wider team.
About you
You have already built experience within legal support and understand what makes a great PA relationship work.
You are someone who takes pride in being organised, thinks ahead and enjoys making the working lives of the people around you easier. Using your experience within a law firm or professional services environment, you will be confident juggling competing priorities, building relationships with senior stakeholders and taking ownership of your role without needing to be constantly directed. Most importantly, you enjoy being part of a team. You are approachable, proactive and happy to jump in when something needs to get done.
