The Role


An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Employment Lawyer at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level to join the firm’s Sydney office. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of workplace relations matters, including employment agreements, workplace policies, discrimination and harassment claims, industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, workplace investigations, and restructuring projects. The role involves delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to clients, managing complex matters, and contributing to strategic solutions. Senior lawyers will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting business development initiatives.



The Candidate


The ideal candidate will demonstrate:



  • A minimum of 5 years’ post-admission experience in employment law within private practice.

  • Strong academic credentials and technical expertise in workplace relations.

  • Previous experience at a large or top-tier law firm.

  • Ability to deliver legal advice with a commercial and client-focused outlook.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.

  • Capacity to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in a team environment.

  • A collaborative, positive, and energetic approach to all aspects of work.
