About the role
Join a leading provider of premium skylight solutions as an In Home Consultant / Estimator. This role combines technical estimating with consultative sales, allowing you to engage directly with customers in their homes. You will assess customer needs, provide tailored recommendations, and convert opportunities into confirmed projects, significantly contributing to the customer experience and the organisation's commercial success.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in home consultations to assess customer needs and site conditions
- Measure and inspect roof spaces and structures to prepare accurate estimates and quotes
- Recommend suitable skylight solutions, including Solatube and Velux products
- Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to quote acceptance
- Build rapport with homeowners, providing a professional consultative experience
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, site details, and customer interactions
- Liaise with the installation team to ensure a smooth project handover
- Identify opportunities to upsell or tailor solutions to maximise value
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in estimating, in home sales, or a similar consultative role
- Background in construction, roofing, or home improvement is highly regarded
- Strong capability in assessing sites and understanding technical requirements
- Demonstrated ability to confidently close sales in a face-to-face environment
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously
- Physically capable of accessing roof spaces and working at heights if required
- Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally
