The opportunity
An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced HR Officer to join this busy and high-performing team on an initial 3-month assignment that has potential for extension. Reporting to and working closely with the Senior HR Advisor, you will provide broad generalist support across the employee lifecycle while contributing to a range of people initiatives. This is a varied and hands-on role that will see you partnering with leaders and employees across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, return-to-work programs and HR reporting. With an increase in operational activity, your ability to manage competing priorities and provide practical, solutions-focused advice will be highly valued.
Selection criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a generalist HR position, supporting the full employee lifecycle
- Exposure to, or experience managing, Return-to-Work (RTW) processes
- Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and best practice HR frameworks
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis
- A proactive, collaborative and customer-focused approach to HR
