The Role
Due to sustained growth, the firm is seeking multiple lawyers (from Graduate level through to Senior Associate and Partner level) to join the Workers Compensation & Dust Diseases practice in either Sydney CBD or Newcastle.

Depending on seniority, responsibilities may include:
· Providing high-quality legal advice and representation in dust disease claims
· Managing statutory litigation matters and producing commercially focused advice
· Analysing complex factual, medical and expert evidence
· Maintaining strong and trusted relationships with insurer and corporate clients
· Achieving cost-effective, timely and defensible outcomes
· Coaching and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff (for senior roles)
· Remaining up to date on legislative updates and case developments
· Contributing to team leadership, business development and practice growth (at senior/partner levels)

The Candidate
To be successful, candidates should demonstrate:
· A law degree and eligibility for a current NSW practising certificate
· Experience or a strong interest in Workers Compensation and/or Dust Diseases law
  • Junior candidates may offer strong motivation and academic alignment
  • Senior candidates will bring substantial and proven experience in this area
· Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and confident drafting ability
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· The ability to manage competing priorities and work both autonomously and collaboratively
· A commitment to professional development, continuous learning and client service excellence
· Leadership capability and willingness to mentor others (for senior applicants)
