An opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a well-established, purpose-driven organisation operating within a regulated environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role supports statutory compliance, financial integrity and high-quality reporting. Key Responsibilities
Prepare annual financial statements for multiple entities
Support and coordinate external audit processes
Manage month-end close, including reconciliations and ledger integrity
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation
Prepare financial acquittals for grant funding bodies
Monitor cashflow and assist with investment reporting
Manage tax compliance including GST, FBT, Payroll Tax and ATO reporting
Maintain and oversee asset registers and valuations
Support internal audits and committee reporting
Contribute to budgeting processes and continuous system improvements
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
Experience managing external audits
Proficient with integrated financial systems
High attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team
Desirable:
Experience in not-for-profit or public sector environments
Exposure to Technology One
Strong Audit and FBT experience
