Finance Lead – Operations
We are partnering with a well-established global mining organisation to appoint a Finance Lead – Operations. This is a critical leadership role supporting a large mining operational environment, delivering financial insights, driving performance, and influencing key business decisions.
You will lead a team of finance professionals while partnering closely with site-based and corporate stakeholders to drive financial discipline, improve reporting quality, and enhance commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end reporting for operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and decision support
- Manage and coach a team of accountants supporting site operations
- Deliver monthly financial reporting packs, including detailed variance analysis and actionable insights
- Ensure integrity of general ledger and accounting records in line with accounting standards
- Support budgeting processes, including cost forecasting and planning
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across finance, operations, and leadership teams
About You
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in a commercial finance or operations-facing role in mining or resources sectors
- Strong background in business partnering within complex operational environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including developing and mentoring teams
- Strong understanding of cost drivers, capex, and operational performance metrics
- Strong ERP (SAP/Pronto) and MS Excel skills
