About the Role
As a Credit Controller, you will manage a diverse ledger while overseeing collections and resolving complex matters with autonomy. Your role will involve close collaboration with Partners and their teams to ensure effective collections that maintain strong client relationships. This position requires sound judgement and resilience, adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and approve new credit requests, conducting credit checks and risk assessments
  • Onboard new clients and maintain existing client accounts
  • Implement and adhere to internal credit policies and procedures
  • Manage a substantial debtor ledger, proactively following up overdue invoices
  • Lead collections on complex accounts while maintaining professional client communication
  • Prepare and review aged debtor ledgers and outstanding balance reports
  • Build strong relationships with Partners and practice groups for effective stakeholder engagement
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience managing complex or high-value debtor portfolios gained within a professional services environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A professional and resilient approach to collections
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound judgement and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with practice management systems
