About the role
As a Contract Administrator, you will play a critical role in protecting the commercial performance of major infrastructure projects. Depending on your experience and strengths, your focus may be on commercial analysis and financial performance or partnering with project managers to deliver projects in line with contractual and commercial requirements. In both pathways, you will collaborate with project teams, identify risks, solve problems and help drive successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of major infrastructure projects
- Perform cost analysis, forecasting and financial reporting
- Monitor project performance and identify commercial risks
- Prepare contractual documentation, notices and correspondence
- Support claims preparation and contract administration activities
- Ensure compliance with upstream and downstream contractual obligations
- Partner with Project Managers, Finance and Operational teams
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes and ways of working
- Help deliver successful project outcomes through sound commercial decision-making.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in contract administration or commercial administration within the construction sector
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing clear contractual correspondence
- Confidence to ask questions and challenge assumptions
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities
- Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related discipline are highly regarded.
